Washington – A Nevada teenager was in court on Monday after being charged in the deaths of his mother and brother. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Adrian Navarro-Canales was charged with two counts of murder after allegedly stabbing his family members a day after celebrating his 16th birthday.
The bodies of Elvira Canales-Gomez and 9-year-old Cesar Navarro were found in the family’s apartment on Sept. 20. The child had one chest stab wound and the mother had reportedly been stabbed multiple times.
No possible motive has been released by police for the slayings. Henderson Justice of the Peace David Gibson Sr. scheduled a preliminary hearing for Navarro-Canales for Oct. 30.
