Helena, Montana – A newlywed was charged with second-degree murder after allegedly pushing her husband of 8 days off of a cliff. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the incident occurred after the couple drove to Glacier National Park and got into an argument. She purportedly pushed him face first off of the cliff after he grabbed her by the arm during their argument, according to federal prosecutors.

The woman, Jordan Linn Graham, 22, appeared in court on Monday in connection with the July 7 death of Cody Lee Johnson, 25. Johnson’s body was recovered in a helicopter aided effort from a steep area of the park. His family called for an investigation after the body was found.

Family friend Tracey Maness is quoted by the AP as stating of the family’s relief that charges have been filed and the investigation into the matter is complete, “Two months probably isn’t very long for an FBI investigation, but when you’re waiting for answers, that’s a lifetime.”
