New York – NBC recently spoke on the status of the proposed miniseries about former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton amid backlash from the Republican National Committee. As reported by TV Guide, NBC stated the miniseries has yet to be ordered to production.

NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt is quoted by TV Guide as saying to Deadline in a statement, “The Hillary Clinton movie has not been ordered to production, only a script is being written at this time…It is ‘in development’, the first stage of any television series or movie, many of which never go to production. Speculation, demands, and declarations pertaining to something that isn’t created or produced yet seem premature.”

The RNC committee previously accused the network along with CNN of promoting Clinton as a potential 2016 presidential candidate with planned programs about her.
