Oxnard, CA – The parents of Amanda Bynes have stated in court filings that they are “deeply concerned” about the star. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Richard and Lynn Bynes filed a petition Friday seeking control over her finances and medical care.

Ventura County Superior Court Judge Glen M. Reiser delayed a ruling concerning conservatorship for the 27-year-old actress, who is under a psychiatric hold at a hospital for two-weeks. A hearing has been set for Aug 9.

The filing from Bynes’ parents is quoted by the AP as stating, “We are deeply concerned that Amanda poses a substantial risk to herself, to others, and to property based on recent events in her life.”

Bynes has made headlines for multiple arrests and other incidents of disturbing behavior over the course of several months.
