Ohio man indicted for 329 charges in kidnapping case

Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio man accused of kidnapping three women and holding them captive for several years has been indicted on 329 charges. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), a grand jury in Cuyahoga County returned the indictment on Friday for the charges against Ariel Castro, 52.
Castro stands accused in the kidnapping of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight and also of holding in captivity Berry’s 6-year-old daughter whom he fathered. The women were freed last month after neighbors responded to screams for help.
Included on the list of charges against Castro are 139 counts of rape and 177 counts of kidnapping. He was also charged with gross sexual imposition, felonious assault, possession of criminal tools, and aggravated murder in connection with multiple miscarriages of one of the women.
