Massachusetts – A Massachusetts teen jailed over a Facebook post has been freed. As reported by Reuters, the teen, a purported aspiring rapper who was accused of making a terrorist threat by posting on the social media site lyrics that included “boston bombinb wait till u see the shit I do” was released after an indictment in the case was refused by a grand jury.

Cameron D’Ambrosio, 18, was arrested in connection with the incident May 1, which sparked protests online by proponents of free speech.

Evan Greer, of Boston’s Center for Rights and Fight For The Future, which organized a petition in an effort to have D’Ambrosio freed, is quoted by Reuters as stating, “While today is a major victory for Cam, the chilling effect that this case has already had on free speech cannot be undone.”
