New Jersey – A New Jersey woman has filed a lawsuit against CVS over an alleged “racist receipt.” As reported by ABC News, Hyun Lee, 37, who is of Korean decent, filed the $1 million lawsuit claiming an employee of a CVS store in Egg Harbor identified her as “Ching Chong Lee” on a receipt after she made a purchase.

Lee’s attorney asserts that her client reported the incident to CVS customer relations. She was purportedly not happy with the response received and subsequently filed suit.

Lee is quoted as stating through her attorney, Susan Chana Lask, to ABCNews.com of the employee, “He should have been terminated immediately…She never got an apology. She never got anything further after she complained.”

Lask is further quoted as stating of CVS, “If they’re committed to treating all of their customers with dignity and respect, we feel they should have a zero tolerance level for this discrimination.”
