Italy – Amanda Knox has been ordered to be retried in Italy. As reported by The Wrap, Italy’s Court of Cassation overturned the 25-year-old’s acquittal Tuesday.

Knox was convicted, along with Raffaele Sollecito for the 2007 murder of 21-year-old Meredith Kercher, who was Knox’s roommate while both were students in Italy. Knox was sentenced to 25 years and Sollecito to 26 years in the case, but the two were released after their convictions were overturned in 2011.

Knox was brought back to the U.S. after her acquittal. It is unclear whether she will be extradited to Florence where the retrial is set to occur.
