Las Vegas – An arrest has been made in the Las Vegas shooting of an aspiring rapper, which occurred last week. As reported by Reuters, Ammar Harris, 26, was arrested on Thursday after surrendering to authorities at a Los Angeles apartment that had been surrounded by police and FBI agents.

Harris is accused of shooting the vehicle that 27-year-old Kenneth Wayne Cherry Jr. was driving down the Las Vegas strip, which led to a subsequent fiery car crash in which a cab driver and his passenger were killed.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Lieutenant Ray Steiber is quoted by Reuters as stating of the arrest Thursday, “Officers and detectives converged on that area, he was challenged to come out of that area and he did peacefully… He was taken into custody.”
