California – Joe Francis, the creator of the infamous Girls Gone Wild enterprise has filed for bankruptcy protection for his soft-core porn company. As reported by ABC News, Francis filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Wednesday amid a legal dispute with business magnate Steve Wynn.

Wynn won a judgment against Francis last year for $20 million in punitive damages for slander and $7.5 million was awarded to the Wynn Las Vegas resort after Francis allegedly accused Wynn of deceptive customer practices.

Wynn is quoted in the report as saying in statement following the punitive damage award, “Thank God for the justice system that finally sent a message: If you think you’re taking a cheap shot, it may be a lot more expensive than you had imagined.”
