Canada – A 24-year-old man was arrested after telling children at a parade that Santa Claus isn’t real. As reported by the Toronto Star, the man was purportedly intoxicated while shouting to kids that the legendary gift-giving figure did not exist during the recent annual Santa Claus parade in Kingston.

Const. Steve Koopman is quoted in the report as stating of the incident, “It was pretty despicable that someone, during this time of the year, would tell kids Santa isn’t real — which of course we would argue.”

The man, who was not identified in the report, has been charged with breach of probation and causing a disturbance.
