Topeka, Kansas – A Kansas appeals attorney was fired after posting offensive tweets about the former attorney general of the state. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Sarah Peterson Herr, a research attorney for a Kansas Court of Appeals judge, made comments online in reference to former Attorney General Phill Kline’s appearing before the Kansas Supreme Court as part of an ethics investigation.

In addition to using foul language in the remarks posted on Twitter, Herr also suggested Kline would be disbarred in the outcome of the investigation.

Herr was fired after reportedly first being suspended with pay for the comments, which she asserted in her apology made Friday that she was unaware could be assessed by all Twitter readers.
