Atlanta, Georgia – The custody battle between R&B superstar Usher and his ex-wife has ended with a decision in his favor. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Fulton County Superior Court Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane, awarded the singer, whose real name is Usher Raymond IV, was awarded primary custody of the two sons he shares with Tameka Foster Raymond, while both will share joint legal custody.

Usher and Tameka Raymond were married in 2007, and divorced two years after. Usher made the claim in court that his ex-wife had hit him during a quarrel in which she purportedly attempted to fight with his girlfriend. An attorney for Tameka Raymond claimed that her client was provoked in the incident by the singer.

Tameka Raymond’s son Kile Glover died last month after the 11-year-old sustained serious injuries in a boating accident.
