Atlanta, GA – Creflo Dollar, a famed Georgia church pastor was arrested after police responded to a domestic dispute call to his Atlanta home on Friday. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the megachurch pastor, whose ostentatious lifestyle and sermons about prosperity have drawn scrutiny from observers, was accused of hurting his daughter in a fight.

As noted in the report, Dollar’s 15-year-old daughter made the call to authorities.

Dollar, who has since been bonded out of jail, is quoted by the AP as releasing the statement about the incident through his attorney, Nikki Bonner, “As a father I love my children and I always have their best interest at heart at all times, and I would never use my hand to ever cause bodily harm to my children.”

He is further quoted as asserting, “The facts in this case will be handled privately to further protect my children. My family thanks you for your prayers and continued support.”
