Arkansas – A manhunt began earlier in the week for two Arkansas inmates who escaped from jail on Monday. As reported by Good Morning America, the search was announced Tuesday for Quincy Vernard Stewart, 36, and Cortez Rashod Hooper, 23, who purportedly escaped from a jail window early Monday morning.

Chief Dep. Duke Schofield is quoted in the report as stating of the hacksaw blades the two purportedly obtained to escape, “Somebody got the hacksaw blades to them, and we don’t know if they were handed off during a transport, or during a court appearance, or what, but there is an internal investigation into that and we think we know. We’re just trying to get enough proof.”
