Illinois State Police alerts Illinois automobile accident lawyers- A 5-car crash injured six people in the South Side.

Chicago, IL—An EMS Plan II was launched after a multiple vehicle pile-up along the Dan Ryan Expressway in the Bridgeport neighborhood on the South Side. Thirteen ambulances responded to transport six people to area hospitals on Saturday afternoon, November 21, 2009 around 2:00 p.m., as reported by the Chicago Sun-Times.

Illinois State Police reported a five-vehicle crash occurred in the northbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway, where the roadway meets the local roadways by the Chinatown feeder ramp. It is currently unknown what caused the chain-reaction crash. A total of thirteen emergency medical services (EMS) ambulances arrived at the scene, which is near West 31st Street, to transport the injured victims. According to police reports, one minor was transported by EMS teams to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition. Another victim was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, while another was rushed to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center for treatment of their critical injuries. Three additional people were taken Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, and Mercy Hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses. The identities of the injured people have not been released at this time. At this time no one has been charged for the wreck. Illinois State Police are investigating the accident.
