West Palm Beach, FL — A special needs child was sexually abused by a 39-year-old school bus attendant, who police charged with sexual battery on a child under the age of 12 on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, reported the Sun Sentinel.

The girl, who has difficulty communicating verbally, was touched underneath her clothes by school bus aide Thony Desir, who also exposed himself to her, reported police.

The child was reportedly being taken on the bus to an after-school program on Tuesday when the incident occurred.

The molestation was reported after the girl indicated to her mother what had happened on the bus.

Desir was confronted by police investigators, who then admitted to exposing himself and touching the girl under her clothing with his left hand. Desir acknowledged what he did was wrong and inappropriate. Desir was subsequently arrested.
