Scottsdale, AZ—A four-vehicle crash, involving a school bus, in north Scottsdale injured one person on Thursday, January 20, 2011. The school bus crash occurred near Thompson Peak Parkway and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard around 2:45 p.m., as reported by ABC15.

According to police officials, the school bus was traveling eastbound on Thompson Peak Parkway when it crashed into a vehicle that was stopped at a red light. The impact of the collision pushed the vehicle into two other vehicles that were also stopped.

The driver of the car that was hit by the school bus was rushed to a nearby hospital by responding emergency crews for treatment for a non-life-threatening injury.

The 30 Chaparral High School students on the bus were uninjured in the crash.

Those students who were not picked up by their parents or guardian were transported the rest of the way home by another bus.

A full investigation is underway. It is unknown what caused the bus to rear-end the vehicle.
