Brooklyn school bus crashed into Capitol One Bank; 11 injured

Brooklyn, NY– A school bus slammed into the side of a bank in Brooklyn on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, leaving one adult seriously injured. The automobile accident occurred around 7:45 a.m., on the corner of Avenue U and West 6th Street, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.

Police officials reported that a school bus rear-ended and silver SUV, as it jumped a curb and hit the side of a Capitol One Bank. The bus struck a silver SUV and another parked car as it jumped the curb.

Nine children were reportedly on the bus at the time of the accident.

Responding emergency medical services crews and the FDNY treated eleven people at the scene. One adult suffered serious injuries in the wreck.

Officials stated that the slippery roadways might have contributed to the wreck. A full investigation is underway.
