Lincoln County, OR—A two-vehicle collision, involving a school bus and a SUV, left three students on the bus with injuries on Monday, September 20, 2010. The collision occurred at around 7:42 a.m., near the intersection of N North Bank Road and N Toad Hill Court in Otis, as reported by the Statesman Journal.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reported that a Mid-Columbia School Bus was carrying about 35 students while traveling on North North Bank Road, when a 1989 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 16-year-old female, pulled into the path of the bus from a residential driveway.

The school bus struck the rear driver’s side of the Jeep, pushing it into the eastbound ditch.

The collision injured three students on the bus. A 16-year-old girl on the bus was transported by responding emergency crews to North Lincoln Hospital for observation.

The three occupants of the Jeep were uninjured in the accident.
