Woman was seriously injured in Carlsbad hit-and-run; witness sought

CARLSBAD (CNS)-Police said on Saturday that a 26-year-old woman was seriously injured when hit by a vehicle fleeing the scene.

According to Lieutenant Steve Thomas of the Carlsbad Police Department, the collision occurred at 11:07 on Friday night at College Boulevard and Salk Way.

The lieutenant said that officials found a female pedestrian in the driveway who was hit by a vehicle. Staff from the Carlsbad Fire Department took the victim to the hospital, where she was treated for the life-threatening injury.

Police investigators are collecting information about the collision and looking for witnesses. They did not immediately describe the suspicious vehicle.
