Tesla driver arrested after colliding with CHP vehicle on SR-56

San Diego (CNS) – On Saturday, a woman driving a Tesla crashed into an unmanned California highway patrol car and was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

According to Salvador Castro, a public information officer at the Center for Health Protection, the collision occurred at about 3:09 am on Saturday on Interstate 56, where officials from the Center for Health Protection are investigating a traffic accident.

Castro said that a white Tesla, driven by a 29-year-old woman from San Diego, crossed the highway and collided with the back of the CHP vehicle. A female passenger of Tesla was injured and was taken to the hospital.
