Fallbrook, California (CNS) – The bodies of two men were found after a car was found 100 feet below the embankment.

The time of the accident is not yet known, but according to the North County Fire Department, the car was found near the southbound Interstate 15 near Mission Road at 4:22 pm on Sunday.

A person at the scene told California Highway Patrol officers that the Toyota sedan had been missing since Friday.

The Center for Health Protection stated that police officers could not find the passengers in the vehicle immediately and asked to use the flyover to look for anyone who might have ejected from the vehicle.

Firefighters from the North County Fire District were helping to retrieve the dead body at the crash site.
