Chula Vista (CNS)-Authorities said on Saturday that police issued 24 subpoenas and seized 9 vehicles at a checkpoint.

Officer Oscar Miranda of the Chula Vista Police Department said that the checkpoint took place on North Fourth Avenue from 6 pm to midnight on Friday.

The official said that of the 1,670 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint, 527 were checked.

Miranda said that the two drivers underwent an on-site sobriety test and issued 24 subpoenas for unlicensed or revoked licenses.

Funding for the checkpoint comes from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
