San Diego (CNS)-According to the National Weather Service, Monday’s hot weather will burn the desert in San Diego County, and temperatures in other parts of the county are expected to rise rapidly within a week.

Forecasters said that the high-pressure system in the southwestern United States will be strengthened and expanded this week, ushering in the muggy weather.

From 10 am on Monday to 9 pm on Saturday, an overheating warning will be issued in the desert area.

The warning will also include coastal areas, western valleys and mountains, starting at 10 am on Tuesday morning and continuing until 9 pm on Saturday night.

Forecasters say that the heat in the desert may reach 122 degrees on Tuesday and Thursday, and then reach 123 degrees on Friday.

Forecasters say that Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday the temperature in the western valley may reach triple digits, while the high temperature in the mountains is expected to reach 108 degrees on Tuesday and 106 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.

People should be prepared to drink plenty of water, stay in air-conditioned rooms, away from the sun, and check relatives and neighbors.
