More than half of the people “hope to participate in live events in the next 12 months”

A survey found that more than half (59%) of people want to participate in major events, such as concerts, festivals, comedy or drama performances, or live sports broadcasts, in the next 12 months.

According to data from the National Construction Association, on average, they hope to participate in two large-scale events next year-one less than before the coronavirus pandemic.

The association found that more than three-quarters (78%) of people attending large-scale events booked tickets online.

On average, people are expected to spend £168 on live events, including entrance fees, as well as additional expenses such as travel, food and accommodation.

Nationwide’s digital director James Smith said: “This country has been eager to go back there and see their favorite band, team or idol with their own eyes.

“This desire will bring a rush to book tickets, sometimes at the expense of our own safety and security.”
