Police issued Amber alert for missing 11-month-old girl in Ottawa

This morning, a missing 11-month-old girl in Ottawa issued the Amber Alert.

Abby Mathewsie and her mother last appeared on Thursday in the Carling Avenue and Pinecrest Road areas west of the city center.The police received the first call about her at about 11:15 in the evening

There was a feeding tube hanging from the child’s nose, and she was wearing a navy blue Montreal Canadiens jumpsuit.

The police initially said that the suspect in the kidnapping case was the grandmother of the child, but later stated that they no longer believed that Abby was with her.

The alert does not include a description of the vehicle.

The police asked people to call 911 when they saw Abby.

If they have other information that may be helpful to investigators, they can dial 613-236-1222, extension 1222 before 8 am, and extension 2355 between 8 am and 4 pm
