San Diego (CNS)-Tijuana Slough cancelled the beach closure notice on Sunday after recent tests confirmed that the sea water was safe.

According to Todd Burton of the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality, the cancellation notice is for the shoreline of the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge and Border Preserve State Park.

Burton said: “Recent water quality tests have confirmed that seawater can be safely used for recreational activities after being affected by the recent sewage.”

The sequence includes the beach from the international border to the southern end of Seacoast Drive.
