The £5 note, originally provided to former Prime Minister Harold Macmillan in 1957, is expected to be sold at auction next week for £22,000.

This banknote is placed in a blue leather gift purse, the serial number is A01 000003, and it is estimated to be 18,000 to 22,000 pounds. It will be sold at the British, Irish and World Banknotes Auction at Dix Noonan Webb in Mayfair, London on Thursday, May 27.
