The prosecutor said the Philadelphia man was found dead in the car in Cheltenham

Montgomery County prosecutors said that in Cheltenham on Thursday morning, a 50-year-old man was found with a fatal gunshot wound in his car, prompting an investigation into his death.

Police said Christian Williams of Philadelphia was found on the 100th block of Tookany Creek Parkway at around 9:45 in the morning. A dog walking noticed the unresponsive person in the car, calling 911. The vehicle is parked in the recreation area.

When the police arrived, they found Williams tied up in his car, apparently shot in the chest.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
