As part of routine eye care and self-care, eye cleansing can help to safely remove makeup, eyeliner, dirt, debris and bacteria while effectively counteracting inflammatory conditions of the eyelid.

Each year, more than 37-47% of people who visit an optometrist or ophthalmologist have had some form of blepharitis, an inflammatory condition largely caused by bacterial infection or parasitic infestation due to poor hygiene.

A safer product for the health and beauty industry

The area around the eyes is a sensitive area that is often irritated by various health and beauty products (such as makeup). Additionally, makeup removers cause a similar problem as they often contain harsh chemical ingredients that can irritate the skin and eyelid margins and contribute to blepharitis.

dr Chrissie Cockinos and wife Christine Deist wanted to create a cleanser that would not only be safe to use around the eyes, but would also effectively remove make-up and beauty products, cleanse the area of ??dirt and debris, and counteract inflammatory conditions affecting the eyelids.
