PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 12, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kaskela Law LLC announces that it is conducting an investigation into Benefitfocus, Inc. (NASDAQ: BNFT) on behalf of the company’s investors.

On November 1, 2022, Benefitfocus announced that it has agreed to be acquired by Voya Financial, Inc. (“Voya”). According to the announcement, Benefitfocus shareholders are expected to be paid out of their investment position in cash at a price of $10.50 per share, a price about 20% below BNFT’s 52-week high.

The investigation is designed to determine whether Benefitfocus officers and/or directors failed to maximize the acquisition price for Benefitfocus shareholders or otherwise breached their fiduciary duties in agreeing to the sale of the company to Voya.
