Millicom (Tigo) reaches Mansfield certification Plus, continued commitment to diversity

Luxembourg, November 12022 – Millicom (Tigo) announced today that its legal team has achieved this Mansfield Certification Plus for Mansfield Rule 2.0 legal departments.

Mansfield Rule: Legal Department Edition is a rigorous, two-year certification program designed to promote and uphold diversity in legal department leadership. To earn Mansfield 2.0 certification, legal departments must consider at least 50% historically underrepresented attorneys – female attorneys, underrepresented racial and/or ethnic attorneys, LGBTQ+ attorneys, and/or attorneys with disabilities – when appointing leadership roles and allow discretionary opportunities for high Visibility and involvement of external consultants. Legal departments that not only consider, but achieve, diverse representation in key leadership roles during the certification period receive Certification Plus status.

This certification demonstrates that Millicom’s legal team has taken deliberate steps over the past year to broaden the range of diverse talents eligible for leadership roles, thereby achieving more diversified representation in those roles.
