RICHMOND, VA, Oct. 19, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kevin S Ellikeran experienced attorney specializing in appeals, complex litigation and government investigations, has returned to Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP as legal counsel in the firm’s Richmond office.

Elliker, who was an employee of the company from 2016 to 2019, most recently served as investigative adviser to the US House of Representatives’ special committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol. Prior to serving on the Special Committee, he was an Assistant US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Drawing on his experience in government and private practice, Elliker advises clients dealing with appeals, complex litigation, commercial defense and government investigations. In addition to his government roles, his notable previous experience includes:

• Informs, argues, and substantiates reversal in a first impression case regarding the application of the Title VII waiting period for federal employees with employment discrimination claims.

• Briefing on an important First Amendment case in which the Fourth Circuit issued a Mandamus ruling unconstitutional in a “gag order” issued in several civil lawsuits alleging agricultural nuisance.
