VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 05, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Individuals who attended a Federal Indian Residential School during the day but did not sleep there overnight (“Day Scholars”) are encouraged to file a claim for compensation of up to $10,000 as of October 4, 2023 pursuant to a court-approved settlement agreement in the Gottfriedson v. Canada class action lawsuit.

It is important to understand the eligibility criteria before applying. To be eligible, the day grantee must have attended one of the listed schools Schedule E Indian Residential Schools List, on the specified dates.
