Her areas of expertise include global health, women’s health, maternal health care, human rights, promoting the practice of safe motherhood, activism to improve women’s health in underserved communities, the social determinants of health, public health, distance learning, social media, HIV/AIDS and global health diplomacy. dr Murthy has worked with UN ambassadors and missions for 20 years to advance women’s health on various projects with local efforts in Malawi, India, Suriname, Grenada, Liberia and Nepal.
