Humanigen is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the prevention and treatment of an immune system overreaction called “cytokine storm,” a physiological response in which the immune system suddenly causes an uncontrolled and excessive release of pro-inflammatory signaling molecules called cytokines in large amounts can cause multisystem organ failure and death.
