Marijuana Beverage Company Denver Packaging Co.which acts as keef brands, is fined for breaking the rules at Denver’s Mile High 420 Festivalreported the Denver Post.
This was confirmed by the Colorado-based company Committing seven violations at the April 20 event, some of them are illegal acts, packaging and labeling,
Keef Brands fined $15,000 during a Another $30,000 will be temporarily deferred if more violations emerge, according to city documents released last week.
Denver Department of Excise and License Inspector Brooke Bearman was that after visiting the company’s stand at the festival where products were exhibited, first point out violations.
Adam Smith, the event organizer who signed the settlement agreement in late August, said Bearman had “notified sponsors that they would not be allowed to have any product on site.” The owner Andrew Veron then removed the products in question, reasoning that this was the case from the Platte Valley Dispensary in Denver.
“Denver Packaging Co. is proud that in almost all of its eight years of operation in Colorado, it has never encountered any regulatory issues or complaints,” Veron wrote in an email. “Unfortunately, on April 20, a misunderstanding arose between third-party brand promoters, city investigators and our employees, culminating in a documented violation by local regulators. The allegations (from the city) were very serious and we take full responsibility for our actions.”
Keef Brands produces “with a blast of THC,” as well as cannabis-infused energy drinks, sparkling water, and mocktails, to name a few.
The enterprise expanded its reach into Canada in 2021 and the placement of its broad line of premium cannabis beverages on shelves in the province of Ontario and Alberta as part of its deal with cannabis beverage leader BevCanna Enterprises Inc.
