(“CRHC” or “Cohn Robbins” or the “Company”) CRHCa listed special purpose vehicle, commented today on the announcement that Camelot UK Lotteries Limited (the incumbent operator of the UK National Lottery) has agreed to its appeal against a key UK High Court judgment of June 2022 (the “Camelot Appeal”).
Leading multinational lottery operator Allwyn AG (“Allwyn”) said yesterday that the withdrawal of the Camelot appeal removes a key obstacle for the UK Gambling Commission (“UKGC”) signing the enabling agreement that will allow the transition process to begin and we look forward to working with Camelot and UKGC on the transition process to Allwyn UK, which operates Europe’s largest lottery. Allwyn UK ??was selected by the UKGC as the preferred applicant in the competition for the fourth license to operate the UK National Lottery in March 2022. The current license expires on January 31, 2024.
