South Florida Baptist Health has begun construction on the Gloria Drummond Patient Tower at Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Boca Raton, Florida.

The nine-story patient tower will include fully private patient rooms, operating theatres and intensive care units. Additionally, the facility will house the Michelle and Michael Haggerty Graduate Medical Education Center, more than doubling the facility’s educational space.

The tower will be over 417,000 square feet and expand the hospital to over 1 million square feet. A two-story, 39,700-square-foot central power plant is also under construction. The project will seek LEED and WELL certification.

Project team includes construction company HKS Architects (Coral Gables, FL), Construction Company robins and morton (Orlando, FL) and Thin Layer Chromatography Engineering (Engineer; Deerfield Beach, FL).
