So we all know that one of the things about weeds, usually one of the best things, is the extremely strong smell. While the first inhalation from a new bag may be better than sex, the smell after smoking lingers on our clothes, in our house, and so on. It’s not ideal because a lot of people either don’t like the smell or you don’t want them to know you smoke. Because smoke is smoke, it can get into anything and stick around for weeks, even if you only have one joint during that time. Another problem could be something you recently bought, got weed in your bag, and needs to run another errand. Some strains can penetrate so strongly that you’ll notice it when you walk around. In the end, some of us just want to smoke and our sheets, clothes or fabric furniture will never stink. So how can we get rid of the strong smell of marijuana other than smoking outside?

disguise your stash

First let’s look at how to hide odors when transporting weed in public places. Unfortunately, just wrapping it in tons of plastic isn’t going to do any damn thing. You need another scent to cover it up. I think the best way is to carry a small bag of coffee beans with you to put it in. It completely masks the smell and I really like the taste of the coffee. If you’re not a coffee lover, try a bag of lavender or mint, these natural things may have a similar botanical smell that can drown out the smell of weeds. If you’re a fancy baby, you can actually buy special deodorant bags. They are sleek little bags made of linen that are completely sealed to absorb weed odors. So if you don’t want to smell these, these are great, if you want to have a good smell all day, use coffee or some herbs and flowers.

Fragrance your home

One of the biggest problems after smoking is stale air full of smoke. The longer this smell lasts, the more the smell will get into your furniture and clothes. If you smoke a lot in your home, you may want to invest in some fans or a decent ventilation system. If that’s a little too expensive, just open all doors and windows and try to keep your smoking room closer to the edge of the house than in the center. You want as many portals as possible directly outside. If you’re really into it, you probably want a central air system with a filter to suck out all the smoky air for you.

If you need to deal with odors on furniture etc. then you may need to do some restoration work. Again coffee is recommended to soak up the weed smell, it makes me feel good about myself. Obviously, scattered coffee grounds can absorb odors, as can baking soda, charcoal, and white vinegar.

If it’s okay to take your sofa covers or whatever and wash them, that’s obviously the best way to go. If not, then you still have some options. You can use abrasive or baking soda on the fabric, let it sit for a few hours, and then vacuum it up. Otherwise, you do have the option of a less eco-friendly deodorant spray.

You may have a similar problem when it comes to rugs. Often vacuuming can actually make a big difference. If that doesn’t work, just go straight for a heavy duty carpet cleaner, there are many different brands, but probably go for those with new puppies. Or, if they fit, just tuck them into the washing machine.

Finally, for your home, you might want to do the classic stoner hippie move and fragrant your house. Burning something deliciously herbal in your house will blend in with the weed smell and cover it nicely. Plus, your house smells good, just like the 2000s filled with crystal and bong shops.

clothing

It’s a simple one, you will have to wash them. Putting your clothes in a full cycle with a nice smelling laundry detergent/detergent should sort them out. If you need to mask the smell from your clothes immediately after smoking, obviously the best plan is to smoke outside and spray yourself with a floral or herbal scent. Honestly, if you’re smoking before you meet someone and don’t want them to know you smoke…it’s not going to go well. While you’re at it, maybe get some super strong gum.

vehicle

Really like the house, make sure there is good ventilation, clean the seats with fabric spray if necessary and keep the inside of the car clean. There are also cute little pouches similar to storage bags that you can hang on your car to absorb odors. If your car needs to be handed over to someone else for some reason and you don’t want it to smell bad, use all the products we’ve discussed in the household section. This is the same basic principle.

Other ways to get high

If you’re really concerned about the smell around your rental property or people who hate it, maybe it’s possible to change the way you smoke. Most vaporizers are completely odorless and honestly probably do a better job of getting you high. They use weed more efficiently, they’re not as bad for your lungs, they don’t require rolling, and they’re generally nice and neat. If you don’t like smoking at all, try some tinctures or foods. These are a great way to get a high calorie without actually smoking, and they’re completely odorless.
