Press Ganey is acquiring consumer experience and market research firm Forsta, a patient satisfaction research firm, for an undisclosed sum Announce on Monday.

The deal expands Press Ganey’s remit by combining its healthcare quality and safety business with Forsta’s experience with consumer brands such as Avon Products, eBay, Best Buy and Mars. Press Ganey will also gain access to Forsta’s technology platform.

“The partnership with Forsta brings Press Ganey’s healthcare expertise to the global stage and enables cross-industry comparisons that many organizations are desired in the current environment.”

Press Ganey expects the deal to close in the second quarter, pending regulatory approval. The company serves more than 41,000 US medical institutions, and Forsta has approximately 5,000 customers in more than 100 countries.

“Forsta will now enable the next generation of patient and customer experiences to be better and truly people-centric through its world-leading customer experience and market research technology, enabling Press Ganey to take a giant leap forward in its ‘care experience’ technology solutions,” said the investment firm Verdane partner Pål Malmros said the company co-owns Forsta with EQT Private Equity.

EQT acquires Press Ganey 2016 The amount was undisclosed before it was sold to a private equity fund managed by affiliates of Ares Management and Leonard Green & Partners 2019.

Hospitals are increasingly recognizing that experience scores are not only an important part of public ratings from agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, but are also key to building patient loyalty, who value access to broader choose.
