Market infrastructure provider TP ICAP today announced its digital asset business Completed the first crypto asset equity instrument transaction with Goldman Sachs.

The company’s digital assets business trades ETC Group physical bitcoin directly and with CME bitcoin futures in the form of an EFP (exchange of physical). Leading cryptocurrency exchange-traded product (ETP) market makers DRW, Flow Traders and Jane Street provide liquidity.

TP ICAP actively provides liquidity to its clients CME Bitcoin and Ethereum Futures and Bitcoin options, and expanding its product offering with partners like Goldman Sachs.

Following the recent approval of the first ETFs based on U.S. Bitcoin futures, CME Group Bitcoin futures have seen a significant increase in trading volume. TP ICAP expects that throughout 2022, the crypto-asset-based futures and options products and the interbank NDF (non-deliverable forward) market will continue to focus on Bitcoin and possibly ether.
