We asked the builders in the field of blockchain and cryptocurrency what they think about the industry… We randomly added some zingers to keep them alert!

this week, Our 6 questions are handed over to David Chaum, who is one of the earliest blockchain researchers and a world-renowned cryptographer and privacy advocate. He is the founder of Elixxir, Praxxis and the XX network, which includes decades of research and contributions in the field of cryptography and privacy.

David Chaum is the creator and founder of XX Network, which is the first consumer-grade, quantum-ready online platform that can communicate and exchange value without revealing the so-called “metadata”. David is a pioneer in cryptography and privacy protection technology, and is widely regarded as the inventor of electronic cash. His work on the encrypted “vault system” includes the first blockchain protocol proposal, which contains all but one element detailed in the Bitcoin white paper 26 years later. David’s company DigiCash deployed a breakthrough cryptographic blind signature protocol in 1995 to create the world’s first anonymous digital currency eCash.

1 What do you think is the biggest trend of blockchain in the next 12 months?

at the moment, Irreplaceable tokens It seems to be all the rage. But I think in the next 12 months, you will see people finally realize what true decentralization is. When people realize that they can have a place on the table and that they can own and participate in the governance of entities, we will begin to see a lot of innovation and mass adoption in the blockchain space.

People will begin to realize how much venture capital has entered this field in the past five years, and have an understanding of these false prophets.

2 – What is the most innovative blockchain use case you have ever seen? It may not be the most likely to succeed!

Satoshi Nakamoto’s vision-the right and ability to participate in economic activities (and upward space). By ensuring that political freedom will never be stifled and can be supported economically, money is closely related to motivating freedom and democracy.

3 — What are the top five cryptocurrency Twitter feeds you can’t live without, and why?

@Defi_Dad is one of my favorite new feeds that I added recently. Very insightful. In this space notorious for being flooded with shilling machines, he is a very calm person without BS or even keel.

@rogerkver is a visionary, he didn’t get enough honor for helping others. He is also an important reason why we are on the road of mass adoption.

@snowden is a man who speaks the truth about power, he seizes every opportunity. He is not afraid to say what he thinks.

@danheld is brilliant and will not miss a beat. Everyone should follow him-a bright mind.

@laurashin holds the pulse of encryption, she is the encrypted Barbara Walters.

4 — List your favorite sports team and choose the most memorable moment from watching the game. If you are not a sports fan, please choose a few movies and moments!

The last chapter 2001: A Space Odyssey Enough to make me worry about the digital future. I saw it when it came out, and it obviously had a big impact.

5 — What was it like when you were in high school?

Hmm… I spent a lot of time at UCLA. The fact is, I decided to spend time at UCLA instead of going to high school. It was the 1960s, and we were still free to do such things.

6 — What makes you angry… What happens when you are angry?

Those who do not realize that democracy is not given. The health of our society is not given.

What makes me angry is that not enough people worry about the potential negative consequences that threaten us. We live in a reality where information and media are obviously manipulated, and we get a lot of chaotic results that we don’t want, because our common common sense is lost in the shuffle.

One wish for the blockchain community:

it’s over. Everything is global and decentralized. The government, the company, they will have to catch up, but it’s done. We are a global community. The government believes that blockchain and encryption are problematic-they are not. This is the future. Snowing. It’s here. Finish.
