A growing number of athletes and people who lead active lifestyles are incorporating cannabis into their pre- and post-workout routines.

One Academic research team A recent attempt was made to better understand why people use marijuana while exercising by surveying athletes. Specifically, they sought to “examine exercise-related marijuana use timing, reasons for use, forms of consumption, and sources of information for active adults.”

“74% of participants reported using cannabis with THC, 15% reported using both THC and CBD, and 11% CBD only. 44% of participants used cannabis before and after exercise, and another 26% used marijuana only after exercise,” the researchers said.
