On November 10, 2021, Vogue Singapore, a team dedicated to fashion, beauty and “important stories”, will launch a non-fungible token (NFT) on the Opensea market. This will be the first NFT series of fashion and lifestyle magazines, which will include a digital version of the Vogue cover produced by NFT artists.

Vogue abandoned the company’s first NFT series

Fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue and its Singapore subsidiary are entering the world of non-fungible tokens (NFT) collectibles. This fashion company is an established company founded by Arthur Baldwin Turnure in 1892. Since then, the American company has established many international branches.

Vogue Singapore announced the launch of Vogue’s first NFT series on Opensea on November 10. Vogue Singapore’s team introduced in detail the “two pure digital cover NFTs created in collaboration with local and international digital designers”.

One of the covers of Vogue Singapore NFT was produced by Yuan Festival artist and Nike 3D designer Chad Knight in collaboration with Jamela Law and Lionel Wong of Singapore design company Baëlf Design. The animated cover created by Knight, Law and Wong is called “Triumphant Awakening”.

The cover “shows a golden statuette, which stands in front of a rotating blue planet. The sun rises and falls in an elliptical arc. A luxurious headdress designed by Baëlf Design, using AI algorithms to create organic fractal patterns and decorations As the goddess, the details are exquisite and liberated from the laws of physics,” Vogue Singapore’s announcement explained.

The cover of the second digital version of Vogue is called “The Renaixance Rising”, and the cover is made of programmable NFT. NFT artists The Fabricant and Shavonne Wong created “The Renaixance Rising” work, the lighting of this work will change according to the viewing time. In addition, Vogue also launched two “Beauty NFTs” designed by Korean makeup master Dain Yoon and Singapore-Italian studio Lanzavecchia + Wai.

“All the inspiration comes from the global theme of’New Beginnings’. Yoon’s work carries out a variety of surreal interpretations of the new dawn-from the cherry blossoms on her body to the complex peacock makeup on her face-and Lanzavecchia + Wai created ‘Living Vase 01′ and’Flower: Collectible’ depict an eternally blooming vase that blooms and wilts with each sunrise,” Vogue Singapore’s announcement concluded.
