On Friday, the suspect was accused of shooting at two people in an “unprovoked” attack that occurred in the Corona Cinema earlier this week, resulting in the death of one of the victims.

According to a press release from the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, 20-year-old Joseph Jimenez was charged with murder and attempted murder in the July 26 shooting. The officials also filed a special case pending charge.

Investigators said that 19-year-old Anthony Barajas and 18-year-old Rylee Goodrich were shot in the head during a screening of “Forever Purification” at the Edwards Theater in Crossings Mall on Monday night.
