The 27-year-old Belios is the undisputed trump card of Minnesota. He has been named to the All-Star twice. He has been as long as any pitcher in the game and has been under the control of the team throughout the 2022 season.
Trading Berrios will take the difficult rotation one step further, but the twins have all the influence and there are so many teams on the market seeking high-end starting pitches. Retrieving potential customers from the deals they made this month should allow them to restart in 2022 and beyond after this disappointing season, after two consecutive American League Central Championships.
