Two people died in a Lincolnshire truck collided with a truck, and the driver was injured


Two men were killed and a driver was injured in a terrorist accident between a van and a truck in Lincolnshire.

Just after 12 noon on Friday, the accident occurred on the A17 highway between Bicker Bar and Wigtoft near Boston.

A 46-year-old man and a 31-year-old man on the truck were pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver suffered minor injuries.

Lincolnshire police said that the road has been closed in both directions and will remain closed until at least 10 pm tonight because the police will conduct a preliminary investigation and recover the vehicle.

The police also asked anyone who might have witnessed the accident or possessed a dash cam video to contact them as soon as possible.

Detective Sergeant James Kirk from the Serious Collision Investigation Team said: “This is a devastating incident for all the people involved. At this time, our hearts are with the families of the two.”

“The specific situation will be thoroughly investigated.

“We are in the early stages of the investigation and we will be very grateful for any help the public can provide us to piece together what happened.

”Any information, no matter how small you think it is, will be of great help.

“We would love to see any relevant dashcam footage or talk to anyone who witnessed the collision.”
