GARETH SOUTHGATE urges young people to get COVID JAB

England coach Gareth Southgate urged young people to regain their freedom by supporting the coronavirus vaccination program. In the UK, more than 46 million people have now received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, and more than 36 million people have received both vaccines.

Southgate, 50, lost the England team’s penalty shoot-out against Italy at Wembley in the Euro 2020 final this month. He said in a video message: “I want to say thank you first. Your support for the team this summer, but what’s more, we know that the past 18 months have been very difficult for everyone.

“There is no doubt that the vaccination plan is the best way for us to solve this problem, not only for our country, but also for the whole world. So I just want to say, if you have not been vaccinated, how important is this, to complete it.

“I know that old people like me have two jabs, so we can continue our lives, but for young you, this is an opportunity to open up everything and regain your freedom. Among them is A large part will depend on the vaccine you have.

“So, don’t delay any longer, do it, we can open everything, we can protect the people we need to protect, and you will be free again.”
